Thumbnail of Panel 2, described below.

I’m writing to you from the local library, because the internet is out at my house, and Spectrum estimates they’ll get back to me sometime on Sunday about when it will be up. Thanks, Spectrum.

Four pages remain!

The teahouse fight continues, so expect some blood. Full page below:

Image description:

A six-panel, mostly black-and-white comic page.

Panel 1: Kazu ushers the waitress and the other man through the back door into a darkened space. He looks behind him nervously. One hand hovers over the woman’s shoulder.

Panel 2: From outside, in the blowing snow, the silhouettes of three people exit through the front door. One is Resunotek, distinguishable by her straw cloak. She supports the stooped figure of an old man, while a younger man stands outside, reaching out a hand to the others. The shadow of spattered blood is visible on the shoji door.

Panel 3: Meanwhile, the first Atagi and Takazaki samurai continue their duel. The Atagi man is still being forced backward. Another Atagi samurai, the man with the sideburns, lies dead on the floor, blood pooling around him rendered in red. The other Takazaki stalks off in the direction of the kitchen door. Tanki is in the foreground, his back to the viewer, dragging the third Takazaki samurai by the back of his collar.

Panel 4: Resunotek’s arm enters from the right edge of the panel and grabs Ichiro by the blanket he’s wearing as a cloak. He looks surprised. Snow blows in from the open door.

Panel 5: Again, Resunotek’s hand enters from the right, grabbing the singing cricket’s cage by the ring-shaped handle on top and pulling it off its shelf.

Panel 6: Tanki has arrived at the kitchen door, and he assumes a fighting stance in front of it. The Takazaki samurai he was dragging lies on the floor next to him, with a hand on his own head; he’s alive, but he isn’t getting up anytime soon.
