If you were a fictional samurai (or a fictional knight or some such), and you’d been only around other fictional samurai your whole life, other people might find you very strange.

Image description:
An eight-panel, black-and-white comic page.
Panel 1: Resunotek from the shoulders up, inclining her head to look back down to where Ichiro is sitting.
Resunotek: If you want me to.
Panel 2: Ichiro, also from the shoulders up, looking up at her.
Resunotek (off-panel): I’m not just going to leave you here.
Panel 3: She crouches down and reaches across Ichiro with a stick in hand, hooking it in the handle of the pot and lifting the pot up. Ichiro has relaxed slightly, lowering his knees and his arms. He looks pensive.
Resunotek: You can scare the bandits away. They won’t know you’re hurt.
Panel 4: A close-up of Ichiro’s face in profile. He bows his head and looks at the ground.
Ichiro: Then I’ll take you to your southern temple.
Panel 5: Resunotek sits cross-legged with the pot on the ground in front of her, turning her head to regard Ichiro with a look of sudden bafflement. He struggles to get up, one knee and one hand on the ground.
Resunotek: Are you sure? It’s a long way–
Panel 6: Ichiro, in profile again, bows all the way to the ground, his hands flat in front of him, his eyes screwed shut in what is likely pain.
Ichiro: I am at your service. I’ll protect you on the road.
Panel 7: Resunotek, facing the viewer, looks down at Ichiro with wide eyes.
Resunotek: Um. All right.
(narrating): I don’t trust him.
Panel 8: With an awkward smile, she looks off to one side.
Resunotek: Then I’ll feed you and care for your wound, how does that sound?
(narrating): I have to trust him.
