Just this page for this week, because Friday is May Day and there are a number of strikes occurring, so this is my small way of showing solidarity. I’ll have a new one up for you next Tuesday.
Also, I’ll be at What the Hex on Sunday! 11-5 at Dresden Castle on Underwood, Cudahy, WI. Come say hi!
Some blood and violence on this page. I seem to introduce groups of men only to kill them all off shortly after.

A six-panel, black-and-white (and red) comic page.
Panel 1: The second bandit, the older man, takes an arrow full in the chest, his arms flung wide. Blood spurts from the wound, rendered in red. His pupils contract and his mouth drops open in surprise. The fletching of the arrow, striped in black and white, extends past the left-hand border of the panel.
Panel 2: The third bandit, with his back to the viewer, is struck with another arrow between his shoulder blades. In his right hand is the shaft of his spear, raised ineffectually.
Panel 3: A small panel between and overlapping with the two previous. Resunotek, in her bug-eyed hood and straw cloak, crouches on the ground, holding her basket to her chest with one arm and putting the other over her head. Her hood is still splattered with blood.
Panel 4: A half-body shot. She raises her head and lowers her arm, holding it in front of her face. She still holds her basket to her chest.
Panel 5: From the shoulders up, we see Resunotek lift her hood and peer out into the distance. Her hair spirals out from under the hood in messy curls, and her eyes are shiny from facing bright light. She has traditional Ainu tattoos–a black smile across her mouth.
Panel 6: From a great distance and slightly above, Resunotek stands among the bodies of the bandits, looking into the trees. Her shadow, and those of the trees, are long and thin, with the light coming from behind the forest. The snow around her is disturbed and stained with blood.
