Panel 1: Ichiro and Resunotek round the corner around the back of the teahouse. Ichiro sheathes his sword. The door is shut, and the other people have wandered off, leaving Kazu and Tanki there to meet them. Tanki scratches the back of his head, looking awkward. Kazu has his hands tucked into his sleeves. The snow in the air is thick.

Panel 3: Close-up of a soft monk’s boot walking through the snow.
Panel 4: Tanki and Ichiro, turning toward the sound of the approaching figure.
Panel 5: Tomoya Daichi, who we haven’t seen since the beginning of the volume, steps out of the shadows, carrying the staff with the lantern. He’s dressed as he was in the beginning, in a monk’s tunic and leg wraps, with a long cloak. He is very tall, with flat ears similar to Tanki’s, and his hair is up in a topknot. He greets the party with a slight smile.
Tomoya: Good evening.
Panel 6: Our four protagonists stand together, facing Tomoya (and the viewer). Kazu stands in front, his hands tucked into his sleeves, a bemused half-smile on his face. Tanki stands behind him, awkwardly tall. Resunotek has her hands around the cricket cage, shielding it from the cold, and Ichiro reaches for his sword.
Kazu: Evening.
