Nobody panic! We have two protagonists actually having a conversation!
I may have forgotten Ichiro’s scars in the last panel. My policy is that once I hit “export” (to turn the Photoshop document into a JPG), I don’t go back and make changes. All those edits are for when the first draft is done.

A six-panel, black-and-white comic page.
Panel 1: Resunotek holds out her cooking pot. It’s filled with cooked grains, bits of meat, and herbs. Her face is open and welcoming.
Resunotek: It isn’t much, but I saved you the last of the meat.
You need to build up your strength.
Panel 2: Ichiro holds the blanket around his waist with one hand and clutches at the bandage with the other. His eyes go wide as he stares at the food.
Ichiro (narrating): I’m supposed to be dead.
Panel 3: Ichiro has picked up the cooking pot with one hand and uses the other to shovel food into his mouth. He draws his knees up under the blanket in a defensive posture, though he tries to keep his back straight.
Panel 4: Resunotek stares at him, having taken up her sewing. Her needle is poised above the fabric, but she makes no effort to pretend she’s working on it.
Resunotek: …
What’s your name?
Panel 5: Ichiro looks down at the empty pot in disappointment and mild surprise, letting his free hand rest in his lap.
Panel 6: Ichiro sits up straight, elbows bent, and answers with all the dignity he can muster.
Ichiro: Tanda.
Ichiro.
