I’ve seen Satake scouts in the woods these past three days.
Panel 2: The jito, again with his face in shadow, presides straight-backed over the meeting.
Jito: Hunters. It’s winter.
They know nothing.
Panel 3: Ichiro’s face in profile, close to the ground as he bows deeper.
Ichiro: I could go in ahead, my lord.
Warn you of any danger.
Panel 4: Tarahito, his head hanging low as he struggles to stay upright, sits next to another samurai, who folds his arms and tilts his head to one side.
Samurai: Alone? They’ll see you. Then they will know we’re coming.
Panel 5: Yet another samurai, a young man with a scar on his left cheek, sits with one knee raised and his arm resting on it–a relaxed pose. He smiles.
Samurai: Ah, you’ll have to forgive our cousin.
Panel 6: A close up of the same samurai’s face, his smile widening.
Samurai: If he can’t skulk around in the forest, he just doesn’t know what to do with himself.
