A five-panel, mostly black-and-white comic page.
Panel 1: Dressed in her cloak and hood, looking very much like a strange, large-eyed creature rather than a person, Resunotek arrives at the bottom of the stairs, where a stretch of dry, fog-enshrouded ground awaits. The steps are very tall, and she crouches down, as though she’s leapt from the bottom step. A few dry, leafless plants emerge from the soil around her.
Panel 2: She places a hand on the top of her head and draws back the hood, revealing her face, looking up. Her face is still covered in soot, with tear tracks leaving pale lines down her cheeks.
Panel 3: From below, the cliffside shrine in flames. On a smoldering platform, the bright red and white shape of a fox crouches. Its hackles are raised, its back arched, and its mouth open in a snarl. It has four visible tails. Red flames rise from its fur, especially its ears and the ends of its tails. The other flames are rendered in orange and yellow against the background of smoke and scorched wood and stone.
Panel 4: A closer shot of the fox. It has large, staring eyes and sharp teeth. The red fire is a part of its being, rising from its fur.
Panel 5: From above, Resunotek stands at the bottom of the stairs, looking up. In her arms is the solitary caterpillar egg she managed to save. Fog covers the ground, rising to the bottom of her straw cloak. She looks very small in the desolate landscape.
