Song of the Week

Florence + the Machine, “Cassandra”

Happy Monday!

You may have noticed the new banner above. I’m working on my social media presence. The most work right now is going into Instagram, so if you’re on there, you can find me here.

This week, I’ll have a new chapter of The Book of the New Moon Door up on Patreon, and the latest chapter of Journey to the Water will be up here on Wednesday. The plot is thickening in both, so I’m excited for you to read them! The next episode of The Well Below the Valley will also be on Patreon soon, either late this week or early next week.

If you haven’t voted in the newsletter poll, go do that! Cross it off your to-do list and feel accomplished, and then have a great start to the week. I’ll see you back here later.

Song of the Week

Poe, “Haunted”

It’s Monday again.

This is the week Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea launches! Right now, I’m still waiting for my files to finish processing. Once that happens, I should be able to assemble purchasing links and possibly paperback preorders. Thank you for bearing with me as I figure out this process.

I’m also having a Virtual Launch Party on Friday at 6pm (US Central)! It will be a YouTube livestream, and I’ll have the link for that available once we go live, so keep an eye out on Friday.

I am juggling how much time promotional stuff for the launch is going to take, so I may have the next chapter of Journey to the Water up on Patreon this week. If not, it’ll be up next week and we’ll be back to our regular schedule of chapters.

Once Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea is out into the world, I’ll start Part Two of The Book of the New Moon Door! It will alternate with Journey to the Water, first on Patreon and then here on the blog. I’m also looking to start a Patreon-exclusive project soon, so stay tuned.

I appreciate you! Have an excellent week.

Song of the Week

Freya Ridings, “Ultraviolet”

It’s Monday again. The wind has turned cold, but injustice pierces deeper than frost.

The Bible says perfect love drives out fear. Martin Luther King, Jr. said that only love can drive out hate. I love my community–my city, my loved ones, my people–more than others hate and fear us, and that is what gives me strength. I hope you can also find strength in the long winter.

I’ll have the latest chapter of Journey to the Water up on Patreon this week, and I’ll be on Twitch this evening and Saturday evening playing some games.

I wish you the best this week.

Song of the Week

Kate Bush, “How to Be Invisible”

Happy Monday. Here, it’s been raining for quite some time, and everything is wet.

There will be a new chapter of The Book of the New Moon Door this week, so stop back soon! If you need to catch up, or are looking for something else to read, the Stories tab above has what you need.

Thank you and have an excellent week.

Happy Monday! Please enjoy this song.

Not much to report for this week. If you missed the latest chapter of The Book of the New Moon Door, it’s available under the Stories tab above (or you can just scroll down from here on the home page). I’m trying to get back to a regular two-week posting schedule for the remainder of Part One. By the time that’s done, I might be in a position when I can post a chapter every week, but I’ll have to wait and see.

Until then, did you know you can get email notifications every time there is a new post on this site? You can do it right here:

Or there’s a similar widget at the bottom right of the page, where you can also subscribe via your WordPress account.

You are, of course, welcome to refresh this page all week, waiting for a new chapter, but this might save you some trouble 🙂

Thank you and have an excellent week!

the bird and the bee, “Witch”

Happy Monday!

I did manage to get a new chapter out for you last week! You can find it by scrolling down a bit, or you can visit the Stories tab above.

Stay safe this week, wherever you may be.

Song of the Week

Fiona Apple, “Criminal”

Happy Monday!

Not much to report this week. I’ll be trying to finish this draft of my manuscript, so there won’t be a new chapter of The Book of the New Moon Door. Once this draft is finished, there will be new and exciting things happening, so stay tuned.

I’ll be on Twitch tonight and Saturday night, 6pm US Central.

Have an excellent week.

Song of the Week

Monica Heldal, “Swan”

Good morning! It’s Monday again.

No new chapter this week, but if you missed last week’s chapter, you can find it under the Stories tab above (or just scroll down from here on the home page). Now’s a good time to catch up on The Book of the New Moon Door! Part One will be finished in the next month or so.

I’ll be on Twitch tonight and Saturday night playing some games. You can join me if you like.

Have an excellent week.

Song of the Week

Tori Amos, “Wednesday”

Happy Monday. I am writing this from underneath a snow drift, so that’s how things are going here.

I’ve been having trouble keeping up with The Book of the New Moon Door along with all my other projects and responsibilities. In order to stay on a predictable schedule, I’m going to be posting a chapter every other week. I’ll revisit this when I finish the current draft of my book, either going back to a chapter a week or starting a new project to alternate with it. I am planning on starting the sequel to Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea in the spring, so keep an eye out for that.

So, with that being said, there won’t be a new chapter up this week. The next chapter will be up next week, probably Wednesday.

In the meantime, I’ll be on Twitch tonight playing a game–I haven’t decided which yet. If you haven’t visited the Tea and Sidequests channel, you’re missing out, because we are a delight.

Have an excellent week, and stay safe and warm.

Happy Monday! Please enjoy this song.

I’ve managed to catch a hopefully non-Covid related cold, so there probably won’t be a new chapter this week. I hope you’ll forgive me.

Have an excellent week.
