It’s the last week of the month, which means the newsletter is coming out–noonish my time (Central US Daylight) on the 30th (Friday). You can sign up here if you haven’t already. I’m banging out the end of The Book of the New Moon Door this week! I’ll also have a new chapter of Journey to the Water on Patreon tomorrow, and the latest chapter of New Moon Door will appear here on Wednesday.

It’s getting toward the end of the month, so I have to plug my newsletter–don’t forget to sign up if you haven’t already! I send it only once a month, and it has writing and publishing updates as well as pictures of my garden and my cats. There won’t be a new episode of The Well Below the Valley out this month/June 1st, as I’m focusing all my writing time on finishing New Moon Door and staying on top of Journey. I’ll be getting back to it soon.

Happy Monday! A bit of a throwback for this week’s song.

We’re still on the normal posting schedule for this week: a new chapter of Journey to the Water will be up on Patreon tomorrow, and the latest chapter of The Book of the New Moon Door (chapter one of Part Three!) will be available to read here on Wednesday.

Because I’m spending all my time working to finish New Moon Door, there won’t be a new episode of The Well Below the Valley on May 1st. The Well is the project with the fewest readers, so it’s the proverbial plate I’m letting drop. I might be able to get one out June 1st, but that will depend on how quickly I finish New Moon Door.

Also, if you haven’t already, sign up for my newsletter! It goes out once a month and contains pictures of my cats and my garden. Good morning! It’s Monday again.

Between my many, many projects, the holidays, and various personal complications, I’ve lost track of NaNoWriMo and I won’t be able to finish. It’s the proverbial plate I’ve chosen to let drop so I can fulfill my other obligations, including getting chapters out to you on time. Even though I won’t “win” this year, I made a ton of progress on The Book of the New Moon Door, and will be finishing Part Two this week! Like I’ve mentioned before, this has moved up the timeline, and it’s looking like I’ll be able to publish New Moon Door next year.

Also happening this week: a new chapter of Journey to the Water goes up on Patreon tomorrow, the latest chapter of The Book of the New Moon Door will be up here on Wednesday, and a new episode of The Well Below the Valley will also be on Patreon on Thursday.

I will be working at a polling place tomorrow, so the new chapter of The Book of the New Moon Door will go up on Patreon Wednesday, and the latest chapter of Journey to the Water will be up here on Thursday.

In other news, I’m already behind on NaNo. Hopefully I can catch up this week.

Third and last: NaNoWriMo is coming. My goal is to write 50,000 words of The Book of the New Moon Door in the month of November, finishing Part Two and making some headway into Part Three (possibly finishing the entire thing, depending on how it goes). This will give me a nice backlog that will prevent future disruptions to the usual posting schedule and get me closer to being able to edit and prepare it for publishing!

(Another) Minor Scheduling Delay

Hi everyone. I made a note about it at the end of the last chapter I posted, but I was very sick for about three days this week because my insurance made me wait to fill a prescription. I’ve got it now, and I am back to normal! It was just a dumb thing that happened because we can’t have nice things in this country, on account of the horrible old white men who can’t stand the thought of people of color occasionally receiving said nice things. (As a side note, SNRI withdrawal is no joke, and please don’t ever quit your meds cold turkey. I love you and don’t want you to experience it.)

Currently, I’m working on several things:

  • Episode 7 of The Well Below the Valley
  • The newsletter, finally
  • Alternating chapters of Journey to the Water and The Book of the New Moon Door.

Since The Well was already delayed, I want to be sure to get that out on time; the newsletter has been a long time coming as well. Those will both still be done by November 1st. Regular chapters of Journey and New Moon Door will experience a slight hiccup next week, but be back to normal within a week or two. I also plan to use NaNoWriMo to knock out a bunch of chapters and build myself a little backlog.

I’m so sorry this month has been disrupted so many times! Thank you for being patient. I appreciate you.
