Good morning! Here’s a song with a lot of history.

I’m banging out the end of The Book of the New Moon Door this week! I’ll also have a new chapter of Journey to the Water on Patreon tomorrow, and the latest chapter of New Moon Door will appear here on Wednesday.

It’s getting toward the end of the month, so I have to plug my newsletter–don’t forget to sign up if you haven’t already! I send it only once a month, and it has writing and publishing updates as well as pictures of my garden and my cats. There won’t be a new episode of The Well Below the Valley out this month/June 1st, as I’m focusing all my writing time on finishing New Moon Door and staying on top of Journey. I’ll be getting back to it soon.

Also, we are very close to the end of Part Two of The Book of the New Moon Door! I’ll be starting Part Three very shortly, but I wanted to ask you, dear reader: would you rather keep reading chapters every other week, or wait until the book is finished and published? This album was a staple of my childhood, and based on the half-remembered image of a violin on the cover and something resembling the names of a couple of tracks, I finally found it again. The internet can be pretty great sometimes.

This week’s Patreon chapter of Journey to the Water will likely be a day or so late, due in equal parts to my poor time management and my husband injuring his back (he’s okay, he just needs to spend a day or so lying flat with an ice pack). Good morning! It’s an Arctic day here, so I hope that wherever you are, you are safe and warm.

In other news, my household is missing its solitary vehicle, as another driver ran a red light and struck my husband when he was coming home from work on Friday. Everyone is okay, but the car is probably a total loss. We’re waiting on the insurance to tell us what happens next, which will apparently not include coverage for a rental.

If you’ve got a spare $3, and you enjoy my work, I have a Patreon and a Ko-fi. We have groceries and a bus card and the heat is on, so please take care of yourself first.

It’s the end of the month, so there will be new chapters of everything this week!

I was sick all last week (picked up a virus from my baby niece, who is the most adorable and needed extra cuddles. I washed my hands so much, but I still caught it). I think I’m reaching the end of it, so my plan is to post the Patreon chapter of Journey to the Water later this week (instead of the customary Tuesday). The most recent chapter of The Book of the New Moon Door will be up here on Wednesday.

As I get back to the minor blog redecorating that I was intending to do last week, please let me know if there’s anything I can do to make my website more accessible! Bitchcraft Fair happened! I signed 20 books (18 of them for new readers) and handed out over 200 bookmarks. If you’re here from one of those things, welcome! It was so lovely to have the opportunity to talk about my book and meet some awesome people. My table partner, Brooke, did some great Tarot readings and sold quite a few of her beautiful cards. Hello there! Happy Monday.

So, last week, we had a very large, very sickly tree removed from our yard. Unfortunately, while doing so, the tree service completely destroyed the majority of our garden. I was devastated and spent the week doing emotional yard work to clean up the damage and prepare for next spring (the fall harvest was ruined). This, and the resultant blisters and sore muscles, cut into my writing time last week, so there’s been a minor disruption to the posting schedule.

The latest chapter of Journey to the Water will be up here on Wednesday. There won’t be a new chapter of The Book of the New Moon Door until next week, and the upcoming episode of The Well Below the Valley has been pushed to November. For a while, I thought that I could get it out October 1 along with getting ready for Bitchcraft Fair and releasing the first chapter of The Tarot of the Gates at the same time, but I think that was too ambitious even before all this happened.

Speaking of Bitchcraft Fair, it is happening LESS THAN ONE WEEK FROM NOW. Here is a link where you can get tickets and find out more!

Also, the exciting preview of The Tarot of the Gates will be available October 1 as planned. You can go to my Instagram to find out about the setting and the accompanying deck!
