Bitchcraft Fair is this Sunday! A delightful selection of magical artists and craftspeople will be gathering at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee from noon until six. Good morning!

If you’ve met me, you probably assumed I had seen The Mothman Prophecies a number of times, but I must confess that I had never watched it until two weeks ago. I was sick with a stomach bug and had a cat on my lap–the perfect time to catch up on cultural landmarks I missed.

After that, Covid followed my husband home from work, so I haven’t left the house more than three times in the past three weeks or so. This is probably fine. I did have a negative test yesterday, so I am on my way to passable health.

I’m making good progress on The Book of the New Moon Door! I’ve recruited a couple of beta readers to look over my draft as I complete it. In the meantime, expect a new chapter on Patreon tomorrow, and last week’s chapter here on Wednesday.

Happy Monday! A bit of a throwback for this week’s song.

We’re still on the normal posting schedule for this week: a new chapter of Journey to the Water will be up on Patreon tomorrow, and the latest chapter of The Book of the New Moon Door (chapter one of Part Three!) will be available to read here on Wednesday.

Because I’m spending all my time working to finish New Moon Door, there won’t be a new episode of The Well Below the Valley on May 1st. The Well is the project with the fewest readers, so it’s the proverbial plate I’m letting drop. I might be able to get one out June 1st, but that will depend on how quickly I finish New Moon Door.

Also, if you haven’t already, sign up for my newsletter! It goes out once a month and contains pictures of my cats and my garden. I’m also working on The Well Below the Valley, and Episode 5 will be available before the end of the month!

Please pray for my lettuce as we enter another stretch of 90+ degree days here in the midwestern swamp. (This is not a euphemism–I am growing lettuce, and supposedly it prefers cooler weather).
