Song of the Week

Takénobu, “Shady Grove” (Appalachian folk song)

Hello again. It’s Monday.

Not too much happening this week: there will be a new chapter of The Book of the New Moon Door up on Patreon tomorrow. I’m also working on the audio drama script I wrote about last week. If you’ve got an extra three dollars a month and want to support what I do, now is an excellent time to sign up for Patreon. If you sign up before the end of the month, you’ll get the first episode of The Well Below the Valley for free, as you won’t be charged until April 1.

I should be back to something resembling a regular posting schedule next week.

Odin update:

Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea Update!

Hello, friends! The new draft of Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea is done! It clocks in at 89,811 words.

Now it’s time for line edits. Wish me luck!

NaNo Update: Calling It Here

Hello, friends. As predicted, the booster shot has hit me like a small-to-medium tractor, and my whole body hurts and my brain is mush.

The final update

I am about halfway through Chapter XXIV of Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea, with a total of 76,832 words. The draft has grown more than I anticipated! The original version of this book, published on this blog between 2019 and 2020, was 77,707 words. With three and a half chapters left, I’m guessing this new version will be well over the expected 80k.

I expect I’ll be back at it tomorrow–my second Covid shot back in April put me down for about 24 hours–and I hope to have this draft done by the end of the week. Then comes final revisions, researching ebook and print-on-demand platforms, formatting, and uploading!

I will keep you posted!

Also, check back tomorrow for the latest chapter of Journey to the Water.

I appreciate you!

NaNo Update: The Home Stretch

12,000 words (of an estimated 80k) and 3 days to go! If you’re curious, I’m a little ways in to rewriting Interlude Four of Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea.

I’ll be on Twitch tonight streaming Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice if you want to come hang out with me.

NaNo Update: First Goal Achieved!

I’ve finished the 50,000 words required for National Novel Writing Month. Now it’s time to get to the end of Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea. I’ve got 11 days and about 30,000 words left.

New chapter is coming soon

I’m sorry I didn’t manage to get it out this week, but I’ll post it as soon as I can. Thanks for your patience!

My sincerest apologies

It has been a Week, and seeing as it’s Sunday, I’m not likely to get the next chapter of The Book of the New Moon Door out before the week is over. I should manage it early this coming week.

Thank you for being patient!

Minor Delay

Chapter Two of The Book of the New Moon Door will be posted tomorrow, due to my poor time management. See you then!
