I’ll be doing some new year’s cleaning and maintenance on the blog and social media over the next several days, so don’t be alarmed if things move around. Hi everyone. I made a note about it at the end of the last chapter I posted, but I was very sick for about three days this week because my insurance made me wait to fill a prescription. I’ve got it now, and I am back to normal! It was just a dumb thing that happened because we can’t have nice things in this country, on account of the horrible old white men who can’t stand the thought of people of color occasionally receiving said nice things. (As a side note, SNRI withdrawal is no joke, and please don’t ever quit your meds cold turkey. I love you and don’t want you to experience it.)
Currently, I’m working on several things:
Since The Well was already delayed, I want to be sure to get that out on time; the newsletter has been a long time coming as well. Those will both still be done by November 1st. Regular chapters of Journey and New Moon Door will experience a slight hiccup next week, but be back to normal within a week or two. I also plan to use NaNoWriMo to knock out a bunch of chapters and build myself a little backlog.

Bitchcraft Fair Milwaukee takes place on Sunday, October 2nd (less than a month away!) at the Wisconsin Center. I will have books, and you can also bring a copy of Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea you already own for me to sign! Also, you get to check out Brooke’s beautiful art. This is my very first event, and I’m both excited and scared.

On October 2, 2022 (a Sunday!) I will be packing up a box of my books and heading to Bitchcraft Fair at the Wisconsin Center! It is “an autumnal Magickal Marketplace of Makers and Mystics” that is coming to my city for the first time. There will be trick or treating (for adults and kids), costume photos, and a whole bunch of crafts and creations for your perusal! Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. You can visit their website here for more information and to purchase tickets.
I will be sharing a booth with the beautiful and talented Brooke Miller: watercolor artist, creator of the Figuratively Speaking Tarot, and my very best friend. She painted FIVE limited-edition bookmarks featuring scenes from Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea! You can see them all above! I have ordered fifty of each design and will be handing them out along with Halloween candy to anyone who stops by our table. Once they’re gone, they’re gone! This event is also a chance to buy a signed copy of my book, or get a copy you already own signed. The same goes for Brooke’s tarot: she will have a limited number of decks for sale at the fair, as well as some three-card envelopes and some other goodies, and you can buy all her cards online here via the Game Crafter. I will be supplying us both with lots of colorful pens for autographs.
I am so excited to meet people! When we learn where on the floor our table is going to be, I will be sure to post an update.
I’m taking a break from social media (Facebook and Instagram, mostly) for my mental health, and I plan to return on Tuesday, July 5. I’ll still be posting chapters according to my usual schedule here and on Patreon, so if you’re not subscribed here yet, now’s a good time to do so.
