Song of the Week

Hozier featuring Mavis Staples, “Nina Cried Power”

It’s Monday.

Black lives matter–they have value, and should be cherished, today and all days. Property can be replaced. Human beings can’t.

I’ll be back with the next chapter of Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea, where saving the people from a tyrannical system is as simple as sword-fighting a god, on Wednesday.

Stay safe.

ETA: Activists have asked that white creators uplift the voices of Black people instead of their usual content this week, so the next chapter will be available next week. Please see this post for some awesome creators I know, and feel free to recommend me more.

Song of the Week

Sam Brookes, “Numb”

Happy Monday! I hope you are enjoying some sunshine. Here in the Frozen North, we had spring for about a week, and it seems to be summer now.

I will be back on Wednesday with another chapter of Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea. Our heroes have returned to Phyreios for a final confrontation, but there will be obstacles in their path.

We have a new router! Which means better Internet speeds! I may try to stream something, maybe Friday? I’ll post an update if I do.

Have an excellent week.

Song of the Week

Mikky Ekko, “Time”

Happy Monday! Not much to report here. Spring may or may not have finally arrived in a torrent of rain. There will be a new chapter of Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea here on Wednesday. See you then!

Song of the Week

Shelby Merry, “Don’t Follow”

Happy Monday! I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.

We are nearing the end of Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea! I’m guessing there will be three or four more chapters. I’ll be back on Wednesday with Chapter XXII. If you’ve been reading and enjoying it, thank you! You can help me out by telling your friends about it 🙂

Have an excellent week.

Song of the Week

Florence + the Machine, “Drumming Song”

Happy Monday!

Today is May the Fourth, which is Star Wars Day! To observe this day, I’ll have a Star Wars story up later this afternoon. It’s called Love Song in Six Verses and it’s very sad, though I’ve been told it’s a better love story than Attack of the Clones.

Edit: you can find Love Song in Six Verses here.

I will also be back Wednesday with another chapter of Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea.

Have an excellent week.

Song of the Week

Joni Mitchell, “A Case of You”

Happy Monday! It’s finally getting warm here, so soon I will be able to dress like a proper post-apocalyptic villager from a town named after half a street sign. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.

I’ll be back on Wednesday with a new chapter of Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea, so I’ll see you then!

Have an excellent week.

Song of the Week

Natalie Merchant, “Ophelia”

It’s Monday again. I hope everyone is staying safe.

I’ll be back on Wednesday with a new chapter of Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea, so I’ll see you then!

Have an excellent week.

Song of the Week

Kamelot, “The Haunting (Somewhere in Time)”

Happy Monday! I hope everyone is staying safe.

I’ll have a new chapter of Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea on Wednesday for you. I don’t think I’ll continue with Myst, but I hope to start another project of some sort soon.

Have an excellent week!

Song of the Week

In the Valley Below, “Hymnal”

Happy Monday! Where I am, the sun is finally shining. Perhaps I will venture out into the empty city today and feel like the protagonist of a postapocalyptic novel.

I’ll be back on Wednesday with a new chapter of Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea, and on Friday with more Myst gameplay. I’m not sure if I’ll continue with Myst, as it isn’t very entertaining to watch or record (though it is a fun challenge to play), but I do have one more episode recorded and might as well post it.

Stay safe out there!

Song of the Week

Vienna Teng, “Blue Caravan”

Happy Monday! I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe.

I’ll be back on Wednesday with a new chapter of Beyond the Frost-Cold Sea, and on Friday with some more Myst gameplay, so if you need something to pass the time while in isolation, I’ve got you covered.

Have an excellent week!
